Atomic host does not include NTP. As a result, when we kickstart a cluster (PXE), most machines end up having different clock times, this prevents ETCD to start as the election fails.

What approach could we use to ensure the cluster is synchronized time wise after being kickstarted?

I found that CentOS Atomic Host and RHEL Atomic Host both include chrony by default, but Fedora Atomic Host does not.

Based on this message:

...it looks like the preferred way of doing time sync is via systemd-timesyncd.

I found some good docs about systemd-timesyncd on the Arch Wiki - https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/...
